After the carer's assessment

Following the assessment, we will:

  • Recommend organisations for advice on benefits, support services, and more.
  • Provide information on:
    • Short breaks and respite care.
    • Practical and emotional support.
    • Emergency preparation plans.
    • Help with returning to work, leisure activities, or improving your health.
  • Discuss changes that can improve your caregiving experience. 

Support from us

If the outcome of your carers assessment has identified eligible needs, you’ll receive:

  • A carer’s budget (personal budget):
    • This can be a one-time payment or regular monthly support.
    • It is allocated for services or resources that meet your identified needs as a carer.
