Schools

A reserved matters planning application for a new primary school and community centre at Matthewsgreen was approved in February 2018.

St Cecilia’s Church of England Primary School is now open with a single form of entry, and has capacity to expand to two classes per year.

Community facilities

A new pub and restaurant, The Oakingham Belle, opened in September 2019 and created 40 jobs. It is named after 18th century Wokingham barmaid Molly Mogg, who was also nicknamed the Oakingham Belle.

The Matthewsgreen development includes a local centre with a convenience store, while the primary school has provision for a community centre to open in future.
