Arborfield Cross Relief Road - Observer Way

We have built a new relief road as part of the Arborfield major development, which is intended to minimise the impact of traffic growth on the villages of Arborfield and Arborfield Cross and the surrounding rural lanes.

The road opened in November 2020 and now connects the A327 in the north at a roundabout west of Bridge Farm to the A327 Eversley Road. It includes features that allow local wildlife to cross safely, which was recognised with an industry award in 2021.

Nine Mile Ride Extension

An extension to Nine Mile Ride has also been completed, extending the road’s previous western terminus at Park Lane to a new roundabout junction at the A327 Eversley Road. 

The road, which includes a separate footpath and cycleway, serves as a primary route through much of the new development and provides access to key facilities like Bohunt school and the district centre.
