Sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) strategy
The sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) strategy sets out the long term vision for the use of Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) within the Borough with a focus on managing flood risk and improving the water environment.
The use of properly designed and constructed SuDS will promote strong, resilient, sustainable communities and reduce flood risk across the borough.
The technical guide, included within the appendix of the strategy, includes local standards that should be adhered to by developers and their consultants when developing flood risk assessments and drainage strategies for new developments.
