Wraparound childcare
Increasing the availability of childcare
The Department for Education (DfE) is providing funding to schools and providers to increase the availability of wraparound childcare services nationwide. The aim is to have these services in place by September 2026. Wokingham Borough Council is collaborating closely with schools and providers in the borough to expand and enhance these childcare options.
What is wraparound childcare?

- Providers will drop off or pick up from your child school.
- Can be delivered by your child's school, pre-school or nursery, a childminder or another childcare provider.
