Home care services

Home care services provide help at home so you can stay independent for as long as possible. Support is available for tasks such as:

  • Getting in and out of bed
  • Washing and dressing
  • Preparing meals and drinks
  • Taking medication

These services are chargeable, and costs may vary. You may be able to get financial support depending on your circumstances. Visit our paying for care and support for further information.

Assured care and support scheme

Assured Care and Support provides a directory of personal assistants and home care providers that have been vetted and approved. The scheme covers Wokingham and West Berkshire and is run jointly by Trading Standards and Adult Social Care. For an approved list of providers go to our community directory.

Home care agencies working in partnership with the council 

The hourly guide price for these providers range from £22 to £25. Shorter visits are charged at a lower rate. For a list of providers who work in partnership with us go to the community directory.
