Qualified Teacher and Forest School/Outdoor education Lead
MPS/UPS + TLR2

Do you love the great outdoors? Have you a passion for outdoor learning and connecting it with the curriculum inside the classroom? Are you a qualified teacher with (or intending to obtain) a Forest School Practitioner qualification or similar? If so, this is the job for you! 

This is an incredibly rare opportunity to lead the planning, development and implementation of a world class Forest/Outdoor education curriculum within our unique school site. The role will include leading the development of an allocated building into a Forest Learning space and training centre, planning a curriculum to utilise our incredible school site: that includes an outdoor classroom, 4 ponds, woodlands and nature areas, fruit trees and swimming pool. Through your leadership, our school will establishment supportive partnerships with local, national and international outdoor education organisation, this will enable us to reach our aim to be the destination school for staff training, school visits and outdoor/sustainable learning experiences for children of primary school age.

The role includes a part-time class teaching responsibility, with significant release throughout the week to plan, meet contractors for site improvements, build partnerships and develop/resource the outdoor learning curriculum offer.
