The food caddy is a small silver indoor food waste bin. These are usually kept in the kitchen and filled up with your food waste.
You can line your caddy using items such as:
- Plastic bags like bread or carrier bags
- Newspaper or paper bags
Lining your caddy is optional but can help keep it clean.
Collect food waste in your caddy
You should collect only food waste in your caddy.

Transfer food waste to your outdoor food waste bin
When your caddy is full, put only the food waste into the larger outdoor food waste bin. If you have lined your food waste caddy with a plastic bag or newspaper these can be tipped into the food waste bin. These are then removed prior to the food waste being processed.
