How the blue bag collection works

The council provides an annual allowance of 54 x 90 Litre blue bags for properties that don't have space to store a 180 Litre bin, or the road is not accessible for our refuse lorry. This is the same volume as a household with a fortnightly collection of a 180 Litre black bin.

• Check on the find my collection page if you're not sure if your property is eligible for blue bag use.

To ensure that you don't run out of bags before the next delivery, we advise households to place 1 blue bag out each week for collection with their recycling bags, and food waste bins.

Crews will not collect more than 2 blue bags per property on collection day.

If you are moving home, please leave your blue bags for the new resident.

Cost

• £15 for a roll of 10 bags

A maximum of 2 purchases are allowed per year.
