How household waste collection works

At the moment, blue bin bags are collected from each household once a week from the edge of your property.

Blue bin bags must be left out by 6.30am on your collection day as near to kerb as possible without causing obstruction either:

• Tied and left at the edge of your property on top of recycling boxes to deter animals
• Tied in dustbins but not wheeled bins, at the edge of your property

If you live in a flat and use a communal bin, use your own bags.

Bank Holidays

Collections may be earlier than normal on bank holidays so put your blue bin bags and recycling boxes out the night before.
