Delamination

This type of surface damage is called delamination and is caused by the failure of the road or footway surface layer to bond with the layer beneath. It falls below our investigatory levels for repair, however, it will continue to be monitored via our regular safety inspections. You can continue to tell us about this but please be aware that it is unlikely that any action will be taken unless an inspection deems it necessary.
