When to apply

We provide written responses to individual requests for information about roads or highways. This includes:

• Adopted road
• Road schemes
• Public rights of way 
• Information about schemes affecting future traffic flow

Fees

See highways search fees below:

• An ordinance survey extract from the Council’s records at time of request, indicating the extent of the highway recorded to be highway maintainable at public expense at £138.00 We only record an indication of the extent of public highway on the current Ordnance Survey base maps, and are unable to comment on whether the public highway abuts the property and/or land in question.  
• Land to be acquired for road works / compulsory purchase order at £37.00
• Roadwork schemes and /or safeguarding lines within 200 meters of the property/land approved by Wokingham at £37.00
• Borough Council but not yet implemented at £37.00
• Traffic schemes within 200 meters of the property/land approved by Wokingham Borough Council but not yet implemented at £37.00
•  Public rights of way and DMMO affecting the property as indicated at £37.00
• Confirm whether property is affected by a Section 38 Agreement at £37.00
• Other (please specify) at £37.00

Land Ownership

Land ownership is not included in a highway search. For this information you need to contact the) Land Registry at Gloucester website, or for copies of legal agreements see Local Land Charges (a charge may apply).
