Adopted development plan

What is the development plan?

Our development plan for Wokingham Borough is made up of a collection of local plan and neighbourhood development plan documents. Together these set out a strategy for how growth and development will be managed which forms the starting point for deciding planning applications. This includes where new homes, jobs and infrastructure will be directed.

National legislation requires that decisions are made in line with the development plan, unless material considerations indicate otherwise.

Communities are involved in the preparation of these documents through consultation and engagement in accordance with our Statement of Community Involvement.
