eBooks and e-Audio
To access e-Books and e-Audio visit the Overdrive website. Use your library card number and PIN to create a free account.
This service allows you to:
- Download Overdrive’s Libby app
- Read or listen to books on your computer, smartphone or mobile device
- Borrow up to 12 books at a time for up to 21 days.
- Choose from over 3400 e-Books and over 1500 e-Audiobooks, with new titles added every month

e-Newspapers and e-Magazines on Press Reader
To access e-Newspapers and e-Magazines, visit the Press Reader website.
You can use the site on a laptop, or download the app to a tablet or smartphone from this page. To login, click on the ‘Sign In’ option, then click on the blue ‘Library and Group’ button. Search for ‘Wokingham Libraries’ and select it by clicking on the logo. Enter your library card number to sign in.
You can now create a free account with your email address and a password. You can stay logged in for 30 days – after this, simply log in again using your library card number to carry on using the site.
(Note: you can also use Press Reader on the library computers, without needing to create an account.)
This service allows you to:
- Download the Press Reader app
- Read and download newspapers and magazines on your computer, smartphone or tablet
- Read the current copy of most daily and Sunday newspapers, many local newspapers and a wide selection of magazines
- Access a selection of newspapers and magazines from all over the world

For help or more information, clicking on the 3 bars at the bottom right of the screen opens a menu from where you can access the Help Centre.
