Our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Service includes other roles and teams that support children and young people with SEND aged 0 to 25.

Head of SEND

The Head of SEND works as a strategic lead across education, health and social care to support best outcomes and experiences for all children and young people with additional needs and disabilities. This role oversees our SEND Service and works in partnership with education settings and other local services, to ensure services work together to support children and young people achieve their goals.

Area SENCO Team 

This team gives advice, support and training to schools across Wokingham Borough. The team contacts all SENCOs to offer this support.

Local Offer Co-ordinator 

The Local Offer Co-ordinator helps families access our SEND Local Offer and develops it in response to feedback.

Customer Relations Manager 

This role supports families to reach resolutions and helps our service learn from feedback.

Preparing for Adulthood Strategic Lead 

This role develops and promotes opportunities across Wokingham Borough for young people to build independence and prepare for adulthood, including through education, training and employment opportunities.

Practice and Quality Lead

This role develops training and guidance to help our SEND Service learn and strengthen its practice.
