Short breaks for disabled children and young people
Short breaks are activities for disabled children, young people and their families. Short breaks are sometimes called respite care.
They give children and young people the chance to spend time away from their parents and carers to have fun and take part in activities.
This gives parents and carers a chance to:
- Rest from caring duties and unwind
- Spend time with their other children
- Do something they enjoy
To read more about the service and who is eligible, go to our short breaks explained web page.
