Cost and contract questions

When contacting a care agency to discuss your care needs and the type of support package you would like. It is a good idea to prepare some questions to ask the agency relating to fees and contract terms. 

• What is the care agencies hourly rate?
• Do they charge more on a weekends or bank holiday?
• How will you be billed?
• Are there any additional charges you should be aware of?
• Does the care agency require long-term contracts, or is there flexibility for short-term or trial periods?
• Does the care agency have a cancellation charge?
  • If so, how much notice do they require to avoid being charged?
