Job summary
Some WBC Libraries are community supported by the local community, meaning that volunteers are needed to support customers and deliver site services. This volunteering role requires volunteers to unpack deliveries, process rotation stock, shelve books and tidy. Volunteers work in teams and are expected to provide friendly customer service on site. This role is a great way to engage with your local community.
Job advert
Arborfield Library is open on a Monday and Saturday 09:30am-12:30pm weekly. Volunteers are required to commit to a certain number of hours at this site per month. This role is flexible with volunteers able to volunteer on site weekly or monthly on one or both days listed. There will always be more than one volunteer on site to ensure you are supported.Volunteers will be supporting library services and as such are expected to maintain library procedures and policies. Volunteers will be given a minimum of four weeks training after a site induction. All volunteers will be required to complete WBC MyLearning training and a basic DBS check before the commencement of volunteering.
