Job summary

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and motivational individual to lead our Humanities team, providing maternity cover leadership of the History and Geography departments.

We are delighted that the vast majority of our students stay on to our Sixth Form and that 97% of our leavers gain a place at University or choose to enter apprenticeships and employment.We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and motivational individual to lead our Humanities team, providing maternity cover leadership of the History and Geography departments. With the possibility of taking on a position of responsibility within the departments at the end of the Maternity contract for the right person.You should be an enthusiastic and motivational individual who is an excellent classroom practitioner, capable of delivering high quality lessons in either History or Geography. You should have the ability to lead a team of colleagues with a proven track record of supporting students to be highly successful at all levels, achieving excellent outcomes at GCSE and A-Level.If appointed, you would join a friendly team of professionals who continually strive for excellence and improve their practice through a range of CPD activities, including professional dialogue and discussion of evidence-based pedagogy.
