The Wellbeing Zone hosts our full time Counselling provision and our Mental Health and Wellbeing lead who is always available to support and guide our students. We strongly believe that alongside educational excellence, it is necessary to equip every student with the skills needed to achieve the most out of life and to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.As an Inclusion and Intervention Para-educator (IIP) at Waingels you will have the opportunity to work as part of a team to help support our SEND and vulnerable students in achieving their learning goals. The role is varied and includes work as a keyworker for vulnerable students, undertaking small group intervention, supporting a homework club and supporting students in the classroom working alongside teachers. Our IIPs also cover lessons for absent teachers and full training is given. This is therefore an ideal role for candidates who may be keen to pursue a career in teaching and see this role as an opportunity to gain valuable experience in education to then go on and train to be a teacher.
