Maiden Erlegh Preschool - Qualified Preschool Practitioner
- Carry out tasks assigned to you by the setting/Classroom Lead, in a timely, courteous and appropriate manner.
- To work as part of the team, assisting and supporting your Managers and colleagues.
- To set up and pack away indoor/outdoor areas at each session. This includes lifting and carrying child-size furniture and other necessary equipment.
- To work as a key Person for set children and regularly update their online learning journals with photos and brief observations.
- To encourage learning in all children through the EYFS curriculum, offering support and supervision.
- Preparing snacks and supervising children whilst they eat their lunch.
- To ensure the safety and security of children at all times.
- To develop and maintain a good relationship with parents.
- To ensure an attractive and stimulating environment is available for the children at all times.
- To assist the Manager and other members of staff in all aspects of pre-school life, this includes preparing and carrying out small and large group activities under the direction of senior staff, attending staff meetings and any necessary training sessions outside usual pre-school hours.
- To assist in the cleaning routines of the setting in both the inside and outside areas

The successful applicant will:
- Hold a Full and relevant level 2/3 Early Years qualification.
- have experience of working within a childcare setting.
- have a passion for working with children and in child development.
- be dedicated to child safeguarding and have an understanding of the importance of confidentiality and how this must be upheld.
- be reliable, flexible, honest and friendly.
- be a team player and have good time management.

Hold a full paediatric First Aid certificate valid for the duration or your employment or be willing to undertake a Paediatric First Aid Course.
Ideally hold valid Universal Safeguarding Children and Prevent certification or be willing to undertake training to obtain such certificates as soon as possible.
The successful applicant will be engaging in Regulated Activity relating to children, on a daily basis. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in such regulated activity.
A fully enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
