Position Overview
As a Lunchtime Playworker, you will have the opportunity to create an exciting and safe environment for our students during their lunch break. You will be responsible for organising and facilitating various games, activities, and social interactions to promote positive engagement and enhance their overall lunchtime experience.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement creative and age-appropriate activities for pupils during lunchtime.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where children feel comfortable, valued, and encouraged to participate.
- Promote positive social interactions and teach children valuable social skills such as cooperation, respect, and conflict resolution.
- Support students in developing their physical abilities and coordination through active play and sports activities.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure a smooth transition from lunchtime play to afternoon lessons.
Qualifications / Experience
- Experience working with children in a school or similar setting.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with children of various age groups. Enthusiasm for creating engaging activities and games that promote learning, creativity, and fun.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and pupils.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and inclusive environment for all pupils.
- First Aid is desirable but not essential (training can be provided).
