Barkham Preschool - Early Years Practitioner (Two Positions Available)

To assist with day-to-day routine of pre-school, helping to set up and deliver a stimulating environment meeting the requirements of the Early Years Statutory Framework, as well as house keeping jobs required of staff in a pack away setting.
Follow direction from the management team to ensure that activities are being delivered to help promote the interests and individual development of children aged 2-5 years.
To be a Key worker for a group of children, track their individual development and meet their next steps and communicate with parents.
Keep up to date with safeguarding training and knowledge.
Help the children to access all areas of pre-school and ensure they are safe, secure and supervised at all times.
To be a representative of Barkham Preschool and uphold professional standards at all times.

• Proven ability to take initiative and work well with others
• Experience of working with 2-5 year old children in a Preschool or Nursery setting
• Good communication skills
• Work well in a small team
• Excellent knowledge of the EYFS including safeguarding

Qualification Essential 
Minimum Level 3 in Childcare

Qualifications Preferred 
Up to date Paediatric First Aid Training
On the DBS update system

Experience Essential 
Working with 2-5 year old children in a Preschool or Nursery setting

Experience Preferred 
Key worker for a group of children
