Get help putting out waste
Apply for assisted waste collection
The Council provides (on request) an assisted collection to those residents who are unable to put out their waste due to illness, physical inability or infirmity. Assisted collections are only available where there is no one else in the household to help put out your waste for collection.
We can collect from the doorstep or an agreed place and we'll then return any containers to this location, once emptied.
We do not collect from behind gates or more than 25 meters from the kerbside.
Collections from properties in private roads will need to sign an indemnity form provided by the council to allow the contractor to access the road.
This service is not available to:
- Residents that use communal bin stores
- Properties where the original person who applied for an assisted collection and is no longer living at the property
If you are receiving assisted collections but no longer need the service, you must inform us as soon as possible.
