Report an issue with a bridge or barrier

Urgent issues

If you're reporting an urgent issue that requires immediate attention, call:

• 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, 0118 974 6000 and select the 'roads and road maintenance' option 
• 5pm to 9am Monday to Friday, 0800 212 111  weekends and public holidays

An urgent issue is defined as something that is very likely to present an imminent threat to life or serious injury or serious damage to property. We aim to respond to urgent issues within 2 hours.

Report non-urgent issue with a bridge or barrier

To report an issue that is not urgent, you will need to fill out a Highway General Enquiry Form, selecting 'structures' from the drop down menu and then 'issue with structures'

You will then need to provide information about the issue, including:

• The location of the damage
• A brief description of the problem
