Bus service

Reading Buses’ 500 park and ride service to Reading town centre - 4 times per hour during the daytime, Monday to Saturday. 

A temporary £1 discounted return fare, including parking, currently applies. 

Once this ends, a £2 capped fare will be payable for each journey, so a return trip will cost £4 and will not include the cost of parking.

These charges are for parking only and do not include the 500 park and ride bus fare.

Passengers using the RailAir coach to Heathrow, from 19 January 2025, are required to pay the charges for ‘Parking without using the bus.’

• Parking per day for all vehicles using the 500 park and ride service - £1.00
• Parking without using the bus, 6am to 6pm (daytime) - £4.00
• Parking without using the bus, 6pm to 6am (overnight) - £1.00
• Up to 24 hours, spanning daytime and overnight periods: £5.00
• Multi-day ticket (over 24 hours, maximum 5 days): £5.00 per 24-hour period, starting from midnight

Our overnight parking permits are valid from 6pm to 8am.

Charging method

If you’re using the 500 park and ride bus, please register your vehicle at the 2 machines behind the bus shelters before boarding. You then pay for your parking as part of your bus fare.

Concessionary bus pass holders must still pay the £1.00 parking fee on the bus.

If you aren’t using the bus, you can pay for your parking on arrival in the car park using the payment machines.

You can also pay for your parking with the RingGo app using the location code 23807.
