Optalis is not a private provider or an employment agency.As a Support Worker you will provide high quality person-centred support and care to a wide range of individuals with learning disabilities, in line with CQC requirements and borough policy.For this role you will work as part of a team to support our customers with daily living skills and activities including personal care and domestic duties, whilst promoting their independence.This particular service is responsible for actively enhancing customers lives to become valued members of their community, to develop friendships and relationships, have a life that makes sense to the individual. Encouraging customers to be able to follow their interests and hobbies, and have the chance to enjoy new experiences working with a can do attitude.Developing daily living skills thus ensuring individuals develop independence breaking tasks down into small manageable steps.Supporting this for all individuals, but taking the lead where necessary acting as a key worker.Supporting our customers to have a full life in which they are safe, working in partnership with external professionals contributing to positive behavioural support plans.Optalis ensures individuals to remain healthy and safe, supporting them within a positive risk taking environment.This service is responsible for individuals living in their own flats. This role will support a rota system including days, sleepins and lone working.Seeking flexible working across all 3 locations - shift patterns vary and include sleep ins . Usually for sleep in the start time is either 3pm or 4pm with some flexibility. This role could accomodate a start time in the evening late from 6pm to 10pm plus a sleepin. There is also a requirement for days working on a 121 basis taking tenants out. Experience of working within a learning disability environment would be beneficial.
