Statement of Persons Nominated for 2024 Local Elections
The candidates standing in the local elections on Thursday 2 May have been confirmed
Wokingham Borough Council has published the Statement of Persons Nominated for the 2024 Local Elections.
These are due to take place on Thursday 2 May and all 54 seats will be up for election.
It is also the same day of the election for the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for the Thames Valley.
You can see a full list of all the candidates on our website, as well as important information about changes to voting and important deadlines to take part this year.
To view the Statement of Persons Nominated, scroll to the bottom of our 'current elections' webpage and click on the PDF link.
You can also find out who is standing in the PCC election online. From Wednesday 10 April, you will be able to find out information on the candidates standing for election and read their manifestos.
If you wish to vote at either of these elections, you must be registered. The deadline to register is 11.59pm on Tuesday 16 April and it takes five minutes to do this.
You can find out more about the upcoming deadlines for this year's elections on our website.
Voters are also reminded to bring suitable photo ID in order to vote. Although voter ID was introduced last year, not all wards had elections in 2023 and for many people this will be the first time they have needed to bring it.
If you don’t have ID you can apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate (VAC). If you applied last year, you do not need to apply again this year.
