I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request information from Wokingham Council regarding the enforcement of general protections for the welfare of decapod crustaceans and cephalopod molluscs (cold-blooded invertebrates) during commercial transport and at the time of killing.

Please respond to the following questions, providing separate figures for decapods and cephalopods.

1. How many a) decapods and b) cephalopods have been transported per year in Wokingham Council since 2006? Please provide separate figures for each year.

Public Protection Partnership does enforce The Welfare of Animals (Transport) (England) Order 2006 and The Welfare of Animals at the Time of Killing (England) Regulations 2015.
Going back 7 years we do not have any data indicating the numbers of decapods and cephalopods being transported through the Local Authority, no allegations and thus the response is 0.
