1. I would like to know what steps Wokingham borough council are taking to encouraged under occupied council/housing tenants to down size to free up larger homes for occupants who are over crowded?
Tenants that are currently under occupying social housing are prioritised on the housing register should they apply to join.

2. I would like to know current action and future action that might be put in to place.
A new allocations policy is currently under consultation whereby under occupiers will continue to receive priority on the Housing Register.

3. I would like to know if there is a future plan in place to make under occupied housing tenants move.
Implementing a new allocation policy with proposed priority bands as follows: Tenants under-occupying by two bedrooms or more (social housing only, where the void comes back for re-let) are placed in band 2 and tenants under-occupying by one bedrooms or more bedrooms are placed in band 3.
