1. Total number of Hackney Carriage vehicle’s currently licenced by your authority.

2. Do you impose a vehicle condition relating to a top light?
Yes the authority does impose a vehicle condition relating to a top light.

3. If yes to Q2 what is the wording of this condition?
The wording of this condition:
The roof sign shall be white in background colour. When lit, the sign must show red to the rear but not red to the front and sides.
The roof sign must be connected to the taximeter to be automatically controlled. The roof sign must be lit when the taximeter is not active and not lit when the taximeter is in use.

4. If yes to Q2 have you received any complaints or requests to remove the condition relating to top lights? If so how many? And how many of these were on grounds of public safety?
We do not appear to have received any complaints or requests to remove the condition relating to top lights on grounds of public safety.
