1. I request all and any information, held manually or electronically, in relation to requests made to Wokingham Council over the past 6 years for succession to its social housing tenancies, specifically;
a) the reasons recorded for permitting or refusing succession;
b) the relationship of the applicant for succession to the previous tenant(s).

Since 01/01/2019, there have been 46 completed instances whereby a succession investigation needed to take place.

In 31 of those 46 instances, no succession was available due to Housing Legislation, and out of those 31 instances, 18 remaining family households were re-housed and given a new tenancy due to being deemed a priority need after their housing assessment. In 15 instances, a succession took place.
