1. The amount of local authority money spent on refuge services for women with specialist needs, in each financial year;
Wokingham Borough Council does not have a specialist domestic abuse refuge in our area – specialist need meaning, under the DA Act, for those with a protected characteristic. We do however have a domestic abuse refuge for female victim-survivors and the amount spent on support in this refuge was as follows:
a) 2019/2020: Funded as part of wider domestic abuse support service contract
b) 2020/2021: Funded as part of wider domestic abuse support service contract
c) 2021/2022: 1st April – 30th June – funded as part of wider domestic abuse support servicer contract. £30K for the period 1st July 2021 – 31st March 2022
d) 2022/2023: £40K
e) 2023/2024: £40k
