I am writing to request the following under the Freedom of Information Act 2000:
1. The number of referrals to the Local Authority Designated Officer for the financial years from 2010 to 2015 and 2019 to 2024 where a person who works with children is alleged to have behaved in a way that has harmed or may have harmed a child in a nursery setting
We are unable to report on this. We would have to manually review and extract the information from the 1,678 records that are for 2019 – 2024. If we took this as 5 mins to read the record to cover question 2 and 3 at the same time, this would equate to 140 hours work. This would exceed the appropriate limit. We do not have any method that would reduce the amount of hours required to complete the work under 18 hours, as a single year would still be in excess of the 18 hours (approx. 28 hour). (Section 12)
2. The number of referrals for the financial years from 2010 to 2015 and 2019 to 2024 where a person who works with children is alleged to have possibly committed a criminal offence against or related to a child in a nursery setting

3. The number of occasions during the financial years from 2010 to 2015 and 2019 to 2024 where the police, children’s social care or other authorities have been notified as a result of a referral to the LADO about care in a nursery setting
