1. Please could you provide an estimate of how many children in your local authority who will take:
a) GCSEs,
b) AS levels, and
c) A levels
in state-funded schools or colleges in 2025, who have been unable to attend school or college for any length of time since September 2023 due to the presence of reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete in school buildings.
We have been advised by Childrens Services that all Wokingham state Schools were checked for RAAC in September 2023 as per Government Instructions ( they were given 2 weeks to submit their report). No Wokingham controlled schools were found to have RAAC. Academy's however do not fall under the jurisdiction of WBC and were asked to complete their own checks. The questions are therefore not applicable to WBC.
