We are keen to obtain specific data related to Parking Charge Notices (PCNs), which we understand are under the jurisdiction of the council. To narrow down our request, we are particularly interested in the following information for the past two calendar years.
1. How many PCNs were issued in the council in the last two calendar years?
We have issued 46,050 Penalty Notices in the last two calendar years.
2. The number of PCNs that were promptly paid within the initial 14-day period, thus allowing motorists to benefit from the discounted rate?
29,045 Penalty Notices were paid promptly within the 14-day discount period. (Pre-Notice to Owner).
3. How many of the PCNs initially issued escalated to a higher premium due to non-payment or other factors?
17,005 Penalty Notices escalated to a higher premium. (Notice to Owner or Charge certificate)
4. The subsequent number of these escalated PCNs that eventually entered into formal enforcement procedures?
3,753 Penalty Notices escalated to formal enforcement procedures. (warrant fees or Bailiff recovery)
