I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information from Wokingham Borough Council. Please may you provide me with answers to the following questions:

1. How many children are looked-after by the local authority?
a) How many of these children are looked-after as a result of or because they were at risk of abuse or neglect?
b) How many of these children are looked-after due to the parent’s disability or illness?

2. How many children that are looked-after by the local authority have a neurodevelopmental diagnosis? Neurodevelopmental diagnoses in this case refer to diagnoses of attention deficit/ hyperactivity disorder (ADHD, ADD), autism (autism spectrum disorder, Asperger’s) and chronic Tics or Tourette’s (Tourette syndrome, Tic disorder).

3. How many children that are looked-after by the local authority have a diagnosis of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD, ADD)?

b) How many of these children are looked-after due to the parent’s disability or illness?

4. How many children that are looked-after by the local authority have a diagnosis of autism (autism spectrum disorder, Asperger’s)?
a) How many of these children are looked-after as a result of or because they were at risk of abuse or neglect?
b) How many of these children are looked-after due to the parent’s disability or illness?

5. How many children that are looked-after by the local authority have a diagnosis of chronic Tics or Tourette’s (Tourette syndrome, Tic disorder)?
a) How many of these children are looked-after as a result of or because they were at risk of abuse or neglect?
b) How many of these children are looked-after due to the parent’s disability or illness?

6. Has the designated health professional/clinical commissioning group ever reported to the corporate parenting board on the numbers and needs of looked-after children with a diagnosis of:
a) ADHD?
b) Autism?
c) Tic disorder/ Tourette syndrome?

7. Has the virtual school head ever reported to the corporate parenting board on the numbers and needs of looked-after children with an ADHD diagnosis?
a) ADHD?
b) Autism?
c) Tic disorder/ Tourette syndrome?
