1. We are seeking the latest Local Plan housing growth evidence from each of the local planning authorities within the Thames Water area of operation. Specifically, we require:

a) The latest Local Plan housing trajectory, setting out the planned level of housing growth, its scale and phasing (timing);

The council’s latest assessment of projected housing completions is set out in the Five Year Housing Land Assessment at March 2021 (see link below). The assessment includes the planning application details of all developments permitted at the base date. This detail can be used to view details of the applications, including the location, via the council’s online planning application search tool (see link below). This enables searching by application details and by location on a map.

The council is preparing a new local plan. Consultation on a Revised Growth Strategy has recently been completed. Further details can be found on the council’s Local Plan Update webpage (see link below).

The Revised Growth Strategy Consultation set out the currently preferred strategy to meet the housing need as defined by national planning policy, including the allocation of specific sites. The details of proposed allocations is contained in the consultation document. They are capable of being viewed via the council’s interactive map (see link below). Shapefile of the proposed allocations is attached. Please note that some of the proposed allocations carry forward from the adopted development plan.

All representations made to the Revised Growth Strategy Consultation will be reviewed. The council is expected to consider any amendments to the strategy by the summer and confirm its intended site allocations through a Regulation 19 Pre Submission Plan consultation expected late Summer 2022.

The council is happy to share the trajectory used to inform the Revised Growth Strategy, however it should be noted that this was produced prior the council’s most recent assessment of deliverable/developable sites, and is subject to change as a result of the council’s review of representations in response to the Revised Growth Strategy. The council would welcome the opportunity to meet and maintain regular contact with Thames Water as our work on the local plan progresses so to ensure understanding of the impacts on water and sewerage utilities is achieved.

b) The specific sites where this growth is planned, including location (address and XY coordinates), status and description, number of units, site size (hectares), and phasing;

Details of specific sites, including address, description of the number of units and phasing are contained in the Five Year Housing Land Supply Assessment at 31 March 2021 as referenced under Question a).

XY coordinates and site size can be generated by reference to the Online planning application search tool.

Details of the sites which comprise the currently preferred strategy to meet longer term housing need are contained within the Revised Growth Strategy Consultation are viewable on the interactive map (see links above). Shapefiles of the current proposed allocation are attached (see Question a))

c) GIS files of the sites (where possible).
The council does not at this time maintain a specific GIS dataset of projected delivery based at 31 March 2021.
