I would like to make a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for information relating to HR, Payroll and Finance reporting within your council.

1. What HR information system (HRIS) do you use to store and manage your people data?
Business World On (BWO).

2. What HR information system (HRIS) do you use to manage and make changes to your council’s organisational structure (establishment)?
Business World On (BWO).

3. What payroll system do you use to pay your employees?
Business World On (BWO).

4. What finance system do you use to manage your council’s finances from a budget monitoring perspective?
Business World On (BWO).

5. Is the HR/People function responsible for workforce/people reporting in your council?
a) If yes, is this reporting supported by an internal Business Intelligence function?
b) If no, is there a particular reason for this?
Yes, this is supported using a system called Business World On as well as PowerBI dashboards created by the Wokingham Borough Council IT Management Team.

6. Does your HR/People function join up with Finance to provide a joined up approach to establishment/vacancy management reporting?
a) If yes, please could you describe the process of joining up the data and how it is presented as a final product?
Yes, Wokingham Borough Council make use of the integrated ERP and present this in the form of PowerBI dashboards and a series of Establishment Reports.

7. Does your HR/People function record Agency, High Cost Interim / IR35 workers on your council’s organisation structure and/or payroll (please specify which)?
Yes, all agency/interim workers are now recorded on BWO and reported in Establishment reports.
