2. Does to council manage all the mowing in house or is this outsourced to a contractor? If so, please supply the name of the contractor.
Grounds maintenance of highway verges and parks and open spaces are carried out by our contractor Tivoli Group Ltd.
The Countryside Service undertakes mowing in-house.

3. A list of all mowing machinery owned by the council excluding any handheld machinery e.g. pedestrian mowers and strimmer’s. Please include the make, model, and size, along with the purchase date.
Wokingham Borough Council do not own any machinery for the areas which are maintained by our grounds maintenance contractor. The Council are applying Section 31 (law enforcement) exemption. There is a foreseeable financial risk in supplying detail about equipment used on behalf of the Council. There was a break in, in July 2023, where we had over £15,000 worth of equipment stolen. It would be prudent for the Council and its contractors to not include locations and what equipment it holds, along with any security changes, as a result that this could be targeted by publishing that on our disclosure log online.
