1. Please can the council confirm
a) the volume of ‘free’ 10-minute grace parking tickets issued for the car parks in 2022 (i.e. where a user had checked in and checked out in 10mins so a £0 vend was issued)
During the calendar year (Jan 2022 to Dec 2023) there was a total of 8539 ‘free’ grace period tickets issued. Please see the attached spreadsheet (Grace Period Jan to Dec 2022.xlsx) confirming the number of free vends for check-in check-out for 10 min parking or less at £nil costs.
b) the date this option was removed in August 2023
This option has not been removed from our machines.
c) the relevant emails / correspondence with the parking software system to remove the free vend option.
Not applicable as we have not removed this facility. See the attached spreadsheet (Purchases - Grace period Sept 2023) that confirms this is still available.
