For each year, please provide the number of claims received and the number paid out, including the total cost to the council and insurer.
a) 2020
• 1 claim for property damage alleging that the “failure to maintain gullies and verges” caused flooding to claimant's property – however, unclear if this would be considered “flash flooding” – settled at £10,000.
• 1 claim for property damage alleging that “improperly maintained drains” caused flooding to claimant's property – however, unclear if this would be considered “flash flooding” – no payments made.
