1. Please may you provide me with:

a) addresses of empty properties that are within your Council area identifying which are owned by the council or other public body and which are privately owned, and
b) the names (and addresses/contact information if available) of the owners of those properties referred to in (a) and
c) the date each property became vacant.

There are alternative avenues to Freedom of Information to look to bring empty/derelict homes back into use. Publishing of this information onto a public platform can place these properties are risk. This could be used to detrimentally target these properties for criminal activity knowing they are empty would place the properties at a higher risk of burglary and vandalism. The information on locations of empty properties is therefore exempt at this time under Section 31 and 40(2) of the Act.

We are able to supply statistics of void HRA properties (figure is total for those which were void at the end of each month).
