I would like to be sent

1. A list of all the emergency school closures reported to the local authority between January 1, 2018, and the most recently recorded date. I would like to be sent the name of the school, the date on which it closed, the date on which it reopened, the school's academy trust (if applicable) and the reason why it closed

Please be aware there are likely more school closures since 2018 than this. We haven’t included when schools, classes or bubbles were closed due to Covid, inset days, or where industrial action took place. In majority of cases we don’t have information on record about the day the school re-opened, but it is reasonable to assume in most of the cases the school opened on the very next working day, if they did not communicate otherwise to us. Something else to note, despite “closing” from 2021 onwards, most of the schools when closing mentioned they would be providing virtual learning.
