The following questions apply to drug or alcohol services. Where possible we would like the answers split into inpatient detox and residential rehab as two separate categories. If that is not possible then please provide a combined figure.
As a small local authority the need for either in-bed rehab/detox and budget is reflected below. The current provider has been commissioned since 1st April 2021, data prior to this would be held by the previous provider SMART CJS, Bedford. I would note that data held by SMART CJS may well be a nil return as from my historical knowledge doesn’t recall and rehab or detox beds being commissioned from 2018 when I commenced contract management for the Substance Misuse service. Prior to 2018 I believe the data would be held by KCA who no longer exist as a Substance Misuse provider.

Inpatient detox and rehab have one budget of £11,000 per annum and this has remained the same since 1st April 2018. From the 1st April 2012 when Public Health moved from PCTs to Local Authorities the budget was £9,000 per annum until the 31st March 2017.
