1. Your estimate of the total cost of decarbonising your housing stock to meet net zero targets.
It has been estimated that to bring our housing stock to SAP B would cost around £46.3 million.
2. What, if any, is the annual spending schedule you have for decarbonising your housing stock to meet net zero targets. Please advise the amount you have budgeted to spend on this for each year.
At Wokingham Borough Council we have committed to do as much as possible to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030. This includes improving energy efficiency of our social housing stock from EPC D and below to EPC C. Our current budget has been spent on the SHDF wave 2.1 funding and we will be reviewing our spending for next year.
3. Any breakdown you have of the estimated cost of different items - including for installing heat pumps and double glazing - of your programme for decarbonising your housing stock.
Costs have been estimated per home based on current available data and example pilot properties. We anticipate that this figure could increase due to inflation. Following new regulations that came in earlier this year on the access to data on the energy performance of buildings, we are in the process of transferring our EPC data. This will help us model estimated costs for different retrofitting scenarios, which will help shape a future programme for decarbonising our housing stock.
4. Your total estimate of the cost of fire safety remediation costs for your housing stock required by the Building Safety Act 2022 after the Grenfell Tower fire.
The HRA do not have any properties over 11meters, so no remediation works required by the BSA 2022
5. What, if any, is your annual spending schedule on this fire safety remediation for your housing stock. Please advise the amount you have budgeted to spend on this for each year.
As above we have no budget for this due to the HRA not having properties
