Recommendations are made regarding members allowances levels by an Independent Remuneration Panel - benchmarking exercises are carried out - Full Council agrees the Members Allowances scheme and any changes to it

3. Please can you confirm the level of expenses paid to councillors in each of the last ten years? Who signs off on these expenses?
This information is available on the above webpage for answer to question 1. Expense claims are checked against the Members Allowances scheme and with relevant officers by democratic services.

4. Please can you confirm the amount of expenses that have been claimed by council employees in the last five years please? A value for each year would be appreciated?

Value of Council’s land assets are available publicly as part of the Council’s annual statement of accounts

6. Please can you confirm the income that is generated by the land owned by the council in the last five years?
It is assumed that this question relates to income generate for the lease of land as opposed to land and building/land with buildings on them. As such the response relates to the Council farm estates and is rounded to the nearest £1k:
• 2020 /21– £95k
• 2021/22 - £93k
• 2022/23 - £58k
• 2023/24 - £95k
• 2024/25 - £93k

None of the Farm Estates have been sold off in the last 5 years.
