I am writing to you requesting information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Could you please provide me with the following information:

1. The number of children’s parks in your local area
Sites = 110, some of which have multiple play areas.

2. The number of children’s parks in your area that are accessible or contain accessible equipment for disabled children?
We have 57 sites that have at least 1 inclusive item. There are sites with inclusive/accessible equipment but the surface is not 100% accessible. 19 sites have grass with hardstanding pads and safety surfaces but contain equipment such as spinning bowls which are inclusive, given the ground may be unsuitable for wheelchair or mobility issues 100% of the year, an additional 11 sites have bark pits which are almost 100% NOT accessible. This would reduce the number to 27 sites.
