See notes
1. How many properties need licensing and how many are not compliant (with appropriate licensing) in your council.
The data is not held - the council has records of properties which do hold a licence, but does not hold data on properties which are not licensed because they are not known. If a property is found to require a licence, it becomes licensed. For that reason, it is not possible to say how many unlicensed properties are not compliant.
2. The fine/fees for non-compliant properties.
The maximum fine for a Housing Act licensing offence is unlimited on conviction, or £30,000 for a financial penalty imposed by the council.
3. The risk of being a landlord of a non-compliant property.
See above.
4. Any other costs involved with non compliant properties that can be neglected through licensing accordingly.
Not applicable.
