1. Can you please let me have the commissioning process for obtaining care home market rate weekly charges and meeting care needs. Do you not have any bespoke processes / procedures that include items like timelines / communication methods / KPIs etc? I am particularly interested in the recommended timelines for the process.
Commissioning process a referral is received via Mosaic WBC electronic database, Duty will send to the Senior in the Operational Commissioning Team who will look to allocate to an Operational Commissioning Officer. Stating what is required and an indication of a timeline for completing the Choices Checklist with suitable and affordable options.
The team has a market discharge rate where we would seek to discharge our duty the team member will search all appropriate homes using the capacity tracker that shows vacancies and market intelligence. Communication is conducted by telephone and e-mail. The 2 options will be presented at Forum senior managers funding panel for approval. In the event of no vacancies or complexity of need a revised budget may need to be sort. The process is determined by the need and in line with the refers request.
